TX Baby Shower

Tonight was a wonderful night...my girlfriends, Sarah, Rande and Kelsey who I've been lucky enough to have in my life since coming to TX took me to dinner and had a small baby shower for me and it was nothing shy of AWESOME!!!! Diaper cake was amazing and the ginormous basket full of goodies was all too much...a little overwhelming (in a good way), but it felt so good to feel so loved and celebrate Baby Schlieman. Thank you girls, I couldn't have asked for a better night!

Last 4 Week Checkup

Nate and I headed back to Dr. Colombo's office this morning for our last 4 week check up and Gestational Diabetes Test (and may I just add whatever I had to drink was pretty tasty, felt like a little girl drinking TANG all over again!). All went really well! We heard our little munchkin's HB again beating away at 138BPM and got my belly measured and we're happy to announce we're right on track, actually 2 days ahead, but that doesn't mean much :) We got her advice on inquiring about an induction date with wanting our families here if they can be for the delivery, but she advised us she doesn't see the need to induce at this point as we're healthy and on track with no forseen issues. She said if I'm dialated come 36 weeks and beyond, she'd induce at Week 39, but for those that are wanting to come down, she's sticking close to that July 17th due date, unless we get an unexpected surprise! 11 weeks and 1 day to go, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

From here, we start going every 2 weeks until we hit 36 weeks! Our next appt is May 12...we'll update between now and then!

PS...The Tarleton Texans are heading to the Conf Tourney in Abilene, TX this weekend, so wish Nate and the boys good luck! Last year they took 3rd, so this year, they're in it to WIN IT! GO TEXANS!

NEW Belly Pic! Week 27

Week 27!!

Well we've made it another 4 weeks and just a couple more days til we're officially in the 3rd Trimester; WOW, how time keeps continuing to fly. I'm feeling good and Nate and I are in constant amazement at how Baby Schlieman grows with each day. Her kicks have become much more intense and you can tell she's running out of room. Seeing her squirm across my whole belly is quite the surreal thing to watch.

Wrigley is definitely aware of Baby Schlieman; this might have been one of the cutest pictures to date of her lying with me at night.

We head back to the doc next Thursday for a regular check up and the diabetes test, we'll check in after that!

Nothing like coming home and saying hi to my little munchkin and getting lots of kicks and movement...I guess she missed me over the long baseball filled weekend!! Or it could be get off me dad, you're cramping my style. I'll go with the first one for now!!

24 Week Doctor Visit

Good Morning!

We had our 24 week doctor's appointment this morning and all is good with Baby Schlieman. She was pumping away in there at 150BPM, gosh that sound never gets old!!!! Dr. Colombo measured my belly for the first time and all is measuring on track; actually a couple days ahead of schedule, but since we're so close to 25 weeks, there was no issue or cause for concern. I go back on the 29th for my last 4 week check up, along with the gestational diabetes test and then we start going every 2 weeks!!!!! We can't believe how fast this is all happening...seems like just yesterday we were thinking how far away 28 weeks sounded...now, we're almost there!
