A perfect end to a perfect weekend!

To end our fun family weekend, we carved pumpkins tonight!  This was the first year that Mackenna could really get involved and it was fun to watch :)

Clearly you can see how excited she was!

She got right in there to help!

So happy!

She had fun throwing the pumpkin guts in the trash :)

Serious business going on over here!

LOVE that she was sitting on the top of our storage unit and enjoying every minute of this "1st" experience!

The finished products :) As you can see, my Minnie Mouse pumpkin takes the cake!

Kenna is so proud of her pumpkins!

Did I mention how cool the Minnie pumpkin is?!?!

What an amazing and exhausting weekend!  With Nate on his way to FL and AZ over the next 2 weeks, I'm sure Kenna and I will find fun things to do, but I'm so happy we had this much needed, lovely family weekend!

The fun continues...

After our fun filled night on Saturday (ending with some yummy McD's I might add), we all slept in until 8:15 this morning, which mind you, NEVER HAPPENS!!!  It was awesome :) Thank you sweet girl!  Anyway, once we had full tummies and were dressed for the day, we headed to our favorite spot to get pumpkins...

EMMA KRUMBEE'S!

Right when we got there, we had to go ride the ponies!

It was weird to not have to walk with her this go-around...such a big girl!

She really did have much more fun than what this pic shows :)

She went on the train by herself this year too!

:)

After the train ride, we walked the path to look at all the scarecrow's in the Annual Scarecrow Festival and then headed over to feed the goats.

This girl has no fear...

She was loving every moment!

Towards the end of her time feeding, she started to put the food on the fence instead of feeding it to them with her hands. We weren't quite sure why, but hey, whatever works right?

CHEESE!

Then it was off to the pumpkin patch!  She kept trying to pick up every pumpkin and then would look at us and say, "Ahhhh, it's stuck!" SO FUNNY!

Another hard core attempt to lift a pumpkin bigger than her :)

Hmmmm, which one should I choose?

SUCCESS!

You can see holding her pumpkin was very short lived, but she was so proud of herself to be holding it!!!

It was so fun to watch her wonder around looking and admiring all the pumpkins!

On our way out for the day, we stopped at the stage to do a little dancing and of course mama had to get in on the action too!

A total performer!

I think she played most everything she found in this guy's bucket of goodies!

It was a great morning and our THIRD year at Emma Krumbee's!  Each year has gotten a bit more memorable and fun!  Til next year...

Fall/Halloween FUN-FILLED Weekend!

Probably my favorite pic of the weekend!!!
This weekend was nothing shy of jam packed!!!!  With Nate leaving this week for 2 weeks, we knew we had to finish all our fun fall/Halloween activities before his departure :)

We started on Saturday evening at Como Zoo's Annual ZooBoo!  It's apparently their largest charity event of the year and this year was the 25th anniversary, so it was fun to be a part of!

While we waited for Daddy to get home from baseball, we took the opportunity to get outside and take some fun pics in her princess costume :)
The posing didn't stop inside :)

Once we arrived, we quickly realized why it is their biggest event - there were so many people and at $7 a pop, no wonder!!!!  Kenna was a little shy at first, but soon warmed up to all the people in costumes handing out gifts, candy, etc.

Such a big girl...

My beautiful lil princess!

Although most of the animals were not out for us to enjoy, we did get to watch the seals play in the water for a bit.

Not sure how she's not getting sick of posing, but lately she's been even more fun to snap photos of!

Of course we had to get this photo op!

Halfway through we even got to visit a fire truck from the St. Paul Firemen - and side note, she now says fire truck and no longer 'beep beeps' - bittersweet for sure!

So this is hilarious to us, why you ask?!?!  Well right after we took the picture above, we struggled to get her coat on her as it was getting chilly and when I say struggle, that's an understatement.  I think because she felt so pretty, she thought her coat was covering her up, so when we saw this photo op, we just had to get it as it was SO FITTING!

Royal indeed!

Look at that sweet face - precious (most of the time!)

The bison were out for us to see too and all Kenna kept saying was, "PU!"

Daddy and Kenna checking out the one brown bear that was visible that is visiting the zoo from  the North Dakota floods that happened earlier this year.

Pretty stoked to be riding on Daddy's shoulders.

Radio Disney was in the house and Kenna had to get her groove on, so Daddy joined her and they had so much fun!

Although not the best picture of either of us, I had to make sure I included at least 1 of me and my lil lady :)

By the end of the night, she was pretty content as she was finally warm and had her potato chips in hand! (one of the many treats that were handed out throughout our visit)

We had a great time as a family and sure did enjoy something new together!  Will we make this part of our fall tradition?  I'm not sure, but if I had to guess...I think so!
