The Water Table!

Aunt Erica (CaCa) and Eric got Miss Mackenna her first water table and I think it's an understatement when I say she LOVES IT!!!!!

The morning after her birthday party, we got it put together and out on the deck and I think we might have been out there for over 2 hours while she played :) GREAT summer activity for us, especially with how hot it has been lately!

She even had breakfast out there while playing....I don't think we've ever seen her eat so fast!

Wrigley was very interested in the food that was falling all around her!

We got the bubble machine going too!  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Harrison, this thing might be might favorite new toy too!

So this is where it gets funny...Kenna wanted nothing more than to take off her PJ's and diaper and 'swim' in her water table!!!!

She is one hysterical little girl!

Birthday Celebration with Grandpa Mack

The week of her birthday, we went over to Grandpa Mack's house to celebrate a little more!  She had a red wagon and pool for the summer shipped to the house, so she had this one FUN box to open....maybe more fun for mommy since it was full of adorable clothes from Gymboree....of course Kenna asked for them :)

She's getting good at tearing open presents :)

Surprisingly enough, she enjoyed taking it all out!

Mackenna's 2nd Birthday

Can you believe it?!  The peanut is 2!!!!!!!!  While we were getting ready for it, I was just saying over and over again how much faster this second year went vs. the first :( I hope we can slow down a bit in this third year!

As usual and taking after her mommy, we had many festivities...her big party was a week early this year because daddy was out of town on her actual birthday, then after that we had dinner and presents with Grandpa Mack and of course she had her birthday party at Pati's too :) She's growing up right in my book! Celebration for a full week!!!!

This was her Bubble Guppies themed Birthday Invitation....it was so much fun to create this with the company I found on ETSY.com!

Cupcakes Galore made by Aunt Erica!

We decided to start the party at 5pm so Kenna could get a solid nap in before all the celebrating began! When she woke up, she walked out to a birthday Bubble Guppies wonderland and her face was priceless!

"WHAAAAAAT'S THAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!"

After nap face and all - she couldn't believe everything!!

Of course she went right to the balloons and took them from their spot ;)

Then it was time for the party to begin!  She got her party dress on and was a little overwhelmed at first, but warmed up in no time as usual!

Grandma and Grandpa Harrison surprised her with her first trike...has blinkers and all!!!!

Then it was time to head outside to see her BIG surprise!

She can't drive it quite yet, but her cousin Emily was ok with driving her around :)

Then of course to end the great evening, it was time to go back inside and blow out her candles!!

It was a great day and a wonderful way to celebrate 2 amazing years!!!!

GIANT Vocabulary

Happy Friday ya'll!

I have so many posts to catch up on - it's on my agenda this weekend when I'm on my own and Kenna's in bed...I PROMISE!

While I'm sitting at work however this fine Friday morning, I decided I had to at least write this post to talk about how awesome Miss Kenna's voaculary is becoming!!!  We have had our iPad for just over a month now and I think that, combined with Pati's house each day and of course being with her awesome parents, has really helped her voacbulary excel!

She can recognize the following letters:

* A, B, K, M, O, T, W

It is crazy to see her point to something at a store and hear her say the right letter!!!  Proud mama for sure!  K and M were new last night as we found out while we were playing with her bathtime letters she can stick all over the wall :)

She's also forming actual sentences now instead of just one word for what she's trying to say.  Rather than saying, "More" now she's saying, "Mommy (or Daddy) more please."  Some of her new words are:

* Shoes
* Outside
* Out
* Please
*Turtle - this one is SO cute!!!!
* Pluto from Mickey Mouse
* Football
* Pool
* Ever
* Eyes
* Red
* Fish
* House
* Sit
* Book
* Amen
* iPad (well she calls it the 'B')
* Pineapple
* Work
* Peace
* Aampa - this is her new word for Grandpa instead of PaPa
* CaCa is Erica
* Wob is Rob

She can also tell you how old she is now - she can't do the 2 fingers with it, but she says '2' in her adorable little teeny voice :)

She's getting really good with associating animal sounds too :) She knows what sound a kitty, puppy, monkey and cow make.  And all monkeys are called 'CoCo' as that is what the monkey on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is named.

She's also counting along with me and Daddy.  We count to 10 a lot and say our ABC's a lot too and it's fun to hear her say the next number or letter before we can!!!  We love Dr Suess' ABC book and Daddy was reading it to her and when he got to letter G, she said, 'Daddy, Goo Goo Goggles!!!'  Such a smart little girl!

We've been getting a lot of rain these last few days so Daddy and Kenna sing 'Rain Rain Go Away' and she is starting to recognize a lot more songs when it comes to some of the shows she watches and from hearing us sing since she was born.

As you can tell, our days have not been boring and I swear with each passing day there is something new we see or hear with her.  She just turned 2 and we feel like she is becoming such an intelligent little girl.  We have her 2 year check up the beginning of July and are excited to see Dr. Jones and hear all he has to say about her development!

Last Friday we had Mackenna's 2 year photos and it turned into some family photos too since we haven't taken any since she was 3 months!  We loved the photographer and Kenna did too which helped!  She sent us a sneak peak that night and we are so excited to see the rest!
